For those of you reading this, that are new to my ‘Ramblings’, this is actually the start of our 10th blog site, in our continuing series of Lifestyle Adventures. Our journey started a little over 11 years ago when we both gave up our individual career’s in Law Enforcement and Teaching, we sold our house in the UK, and all our worldly possessions, then went off to live, and travel, on a full time basis in our Motorhome. A lot has happened in those last ten year’s, and you can, if you feel so inclined, catch up from the very beginning, or at any later points thereafter, by following any of the links listed below (In chronological order, first blog site at the bottom, latest at the top):
In May 2015 we invested in a property in Southern Spain, just primarily as a ‘Bolt Hole’, somewhere to use when we wanted a break from living and travelling in our much more confined space. However, due to the implementation of ‘Brexshit’ in 2021, we were restricted to how long we could spend in the whole of the European Schengen Zones, two ninety day periods in a year and instead of spending the majority of our time travelling in the van, we began to spend more and more of those ninety day periods at our ‘Bolt Hole’. In June of 2023, we decided to come and live in Spain on a more permanent basis and when I started this new blog site, we were already five months into our first year of Residency.
We have not given up on our ambitions of travelling, which will include exploring more of our new home country as well as the wider areas of Europe, and hopefully, much wider global destinations. However, having sold our Motor Home prior to moving across to Spain, those further travel adventures will now have to be undertaken either, in our own car, which we have imported and registered here in Spain, or via a combination of Air/Rail/Road public transport services.
If you read our earlies blog posts you will become very much aware that our Plans, and our Directions often change, in the past that has been down to either our own personal choices, or the influences of ‘Fate’ and occasionally, the less desirable interferences of ‘Dark Forces’, so who knows what lay ahead for us, we don’t look that far into the future, but there is one thing you can be assured of, and that is that whatever happens, I will always write about them 😉
I always welcome ‘Comments’, or questions, and will always respond to each and every one of them. I must also say a very appreciative ‘Thank You’ to my continuing group of loyal ‘Subscribers’ and ‘Followers’, many who have been with us on our journey from the very beginning.
I choose not to actively share these ramblings via ‘Facebook’, ‘Twitter’, ‘Instagram’ etc. etc. or any of the other long lists of Social Media platforms, either because I don’t have accounts with them, or more truthfully, because I wouldn’t know how to link them even if I did 😂 But please feel free to share my rambles with other’s you believe may be interested.
Finally, I certainly do not make any money from my literary ‘Rambles’, there are no subscription costs associated to my blog sites, and I certainly do not promote any products or advertising, although the owners of the rights to the Blog Platform, do include Advertisements within my blogs, for which I have no control over.
